My entry for Miss SMV Pageant contest
Round 03 - 20th century fashion
We were needed to draw an outfit representing a 20th century decade of our choice (1900s, 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s). I choose 1950s because I really like those dresses. At first I thought of 1990s (fashion madness of eastern Europe is particular). Aw, time of my childhood... Nostalgia....but later I thought that it will not suit Trifolium very well, It will look much better playing by Phoenix (and I hope that I find time to draw a spectator entry with her). So I end up with my second favourite - 50s.
For dress itself - Usually it made in monotone with some patterns (flowers, strips etc.), but I made sleeves transparent to parallel with ones in her senshi form. But this time I use darker green line than I usually do (since judges were telling, that they didn't see the folds with light green line that I usually use). Not sure if I satisfied with it - form one side it looks in more harmony with dress, form other - it looks too different form colour used in senshi fuku.
For pattern I choose dark small clovers. At first I wanted to do it with both dark and light ones, but later I thought that light clovers will be excess.
Dark ribbons represent her bow colour.
The Pearls that are usually used in that times are white, but I made it gold like the main accessory colour in senshi fuku.
And of course almost necessary parts of 50s fashion - gloves and a hat. And only white! Hair is also more curly with swirls to fit 50s.
P.S. A few words about the mole - it is not fake but real, inborn. "Just like Papa's" (c) Sailor Trifolium. It just the artist herself totally forgot about it when was drawing ref. But it should be there. I found it later when was looking in main sketch refs for entrance comic. You can check it here for confirmation (see number 10) Shame on me... I'll try to fix a ref as soon as I can.
